FSA works for the economic and social empowerment of women, the dignity of physically, sexually, and psychologically abused women and girls through the provision of temporary shelter, community mobilization, and access to resources in Ethiopia.

To contribute to efforts at the national level to empower women socially and economically through the prevention of gender-based violence



  • Rehabilitate survivors of gender-based violence and domestic violence (GBV and DBV)

  • Economically empower poor, abused women and girls through job creation

  • Promote creativity and skills of youth for profitable income generating activities

  • Create/raise awareness of women, men, and young boys and girls regarding RH/FP, HIV/AIDS/HTPs, and GBV/VAW

  • Promote family life and intimacy to achieve peaceful relations among couples/partners

  • Promote societal development

  • Mobilize the community  for environmental protection, sanitation, and hygiene

  • Bring about behavioral change on reproductive health

  • Help young people bring about behavioral change with regard to substance abuse and other addictions
